Glitch Art

Glitch art is the practice of using digital or analog errors for aesthetic purposes by either corrupting digital data or physically manipulating electronic devices. (Wikipedia 2018)

Goals
Show understanding of file extensions/file types
Ability to continue to problem-solve when 'program crashes'
Discover file codes

Instructions

1. Find a bitmap image to distort

2. Save image to your pictures folder

3. Open the picture file using text editor/notepad

4. Save the file as a .txt file

5a) Open newly saved file as a picture 

If the picture is a success:

b) Make a copy of your successful picture and see if you can manipulate the copied file some more by deleting or adding text in the middle of text file

6. Add glitch art to website

Please use the Snipping Tool to screenshot an example of each computer word.

Make a copy of the Slides Presentation in your Drive in order to edit it.
