Plagiarism (TL;DR: Don't Do It.)
Let's Talk About Plagiarism
Watch the video below to find out about what plagiarism is:
Plagiarism is something that, unfortunately, occurs a lot - but why?
Well....- It is faster and easier to copy other people's ideas than think of your own
- The process of giving credit to sources can be confusing
- Students do not work to their best ability and would rather "copy and paste" than write full sentences on their own
Plagiarism is Serious Business
If a student is found guilty of plagiarizing at the University of Toronto they can be expelled. U of T's Academic Code of Conduct states,
"Expulsion shall mean that the student shall be denied any further registration at the University in any program, and his or her academic record and transcript shall record this sanction permanently."
